My Story
I believe style is more than clothes. At its best, it reflects who you are and helps you look and feel like yourself.
Though I’ve always loved fashion, I didn’t set out to become a stylist. My fascination with how people see themselves and the world around them led me to earn my degree in psychology. Once I realized grad school wasn’t for me, I pivoted to my second love: fashion.
I spent a decade in luxury retail, where I learned to identify trends, judge fit and fabric up close. Over time, the image and status that so much of high-end fashion runs on stopped being enough for me. Working one on one with clients is where I found the part of the job I cared about most.
I'm also a 1.5-generation Korean American, born in Seoul and raised in Los Angeles. Growing up between two cultures meant working out for myself who I was, and that still shapes how I think about personal style.
My Experience
As a buyer, I evaluated thousands of garments and collections, followed changes in the market, compared brands, built balanced assortments, and made decisions about what customers would find relevant and worth the price. That experience taught me to distinguish expense from value, recognize quality across different price points, and understand how individual pieces contribute to a larger wardrobe.
I’ve worked one on one with styling clients since 2015 and became a full-time private personal stylist in 2020. I’ve also trained extensively in custom clothing, garment construction, and alterations.
Together, that experience allows me to understand both the person and the product, then make clear decisions about what genuinely deserves a place in their wardrobe.
My Approach
My psychology and fashion backgrounds shape different parts of the work. Psychology guides how I talk with clients and helps me understand what they're trying to change. Fashion gives me the technical eye to turn that into clothes that fit properly and suit their life.
I start by helping clients sort out what they actually like from what they've picked up along the way, whether from trends or from the people around them. We build the wardrobe from there, so it stays specific to them and can change as they do.
Honesty and trust are, and always will be, at the foundation of my process. I believe in straightforward guidance and genuine connection, because without these, it’s impossible to make real progress.
